Materials Needed for Proper Assembly:

> Computer
> Printer
> CD Burning Software
> Image Editing Software
> 2 Pieces of Paper (8.5" x 11")
> 1 Printable Adhesive CD Label Sheet (Full Face)
> Optional: CD Label Software or Template
> Optional: CD Label Applicator Device
> Scissors OR Paper Cutter
> 4 pieces of Clear Scotch Tape
> Optional: Clear Drying Glue Stick
> 1 Slim CD Jewel Case (Clear Front)*

* = This CD features a reversible CD cover. The color of the jewel case's tray traditionally depends on which cover you choose to show on the front. If you choose to primarily display the "Fighter X" cover (teal), the proper jewel case tray color is blue. If you choose to primarily display the the "KGHB" cover (yellow), the proper jewel case tray color is orange. A jewel case with a black tray is also acceptable for use with either cover.

1. Open tracks in the burning software of your choice and burn them in the correct numbered order onto a blank CD-R. Set the disc aside when finished burning. If your burning software gives you the option to input the CD's title and artist name, input the following:

Artist Name: KGHB/Fighter X
CD Title: KGHB/Fighter X Split 7"

Also, if your burning software gives you the option to burn the disc with no pauses between tracks, select that option for best results.

2. Use the image editing software of your choice to print out "Split 7 - Insert.png" onto an 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper (letter size). Make sure the program you are using prints the file at its exact size (100%). Make sure the page is set to print on "Portrait" (vertically), so that the full image is printed along the length of the page.

Recommended image software for printing: Adobe Photoshop

3. You will know the image printed correctly if the measured print is approximately 4.749" x 9.582". When you have verified that the image printed correctly, use scissors or a paper cutter to carefully cut along the outside edge.

4. Fold the cut-out print in half "hamburger style", so that the paper becomes a square shaped insert with the image facing outward on either side. Set the folded print aside.

5. Open "Split 7 - Track List.png" in your image editing software. Print the image out at its exact size (100%) onto a sheet of paper.

6. You will know the image printed correctly if the measured print is approximately 3.187" x 2.687". When you have verified that the Track List image printed correctly, use scissors or a paper cutter to carefully cut along the outside edge.

7. Grab the insert you cut out in Step 4. Unfold it and center the Track List cut out on either square half of the white inside of the insert. Carefully apply a piece of clear scotch tape to all four edges of the Track List so that it is firmly held in place against the paper insert. As an alternative to tape, you may also consider using a clear drying glue stick to apply the Track List. The use of glue however is not recommended because it tends to wrinkle the paper when it dries. Fold the insert back up and set it aside.

8. Now open "Split 7 - CD Label.png" in either your image editing software, your CD label software, or other program using the desired CD label template. This step will be different for everyone, depending on what labels and what software/templates you are using. Orient the image so that it can correctly print on your sheet of adhesive CD labels. Use the gray circle around the image as a guide. When the image is properly aligned with the edges of your label, print it out onto your adhesive CD label sheet.

Recommended CD label software: Meritline EZ Label Xpress (free)

9. You will know your CD label printed correctly if the image covers the full face of the label with the soft gray guideline just barely past the label's edges all the way around. Once you have verified that your label printed correctly, carefully peel it off the adhesive sheet. If you have one, use some kind of CD label applicator device to firmly press the label's adhesive side down onto the top of the CD-R you burned in Step 1. If you do not have a label applicator, carefully use your hand to align and press the label firmly into position onto the CD-R. Make sure the label does not hang over any edges, and that there are no wrinkles or bubbles. If properly made with a full face label, the image should cover the entire plastic face of the CD, leaving only the small hole in the middle open.

10. Place the labeled CD-R into the tray of your slim jewel case.

11. Take the folded artwork from before and insert it into the front of the jewel case underneath the plastic tabs that will hold it in place. The cover artwork is reversible, so insert it whichever way you like, but make sure the side you like the best faces outward through the clear front. Close the jewel case firmly.

Congratulations! You now have a hard copy of the KGHB/Fighter X Split 7"!
